DIVING TOURS General Information

• Akumal Diving offers 3 dives daily at 9am (90 feet) , 11am (60 feet) and 2:30pm (40 feet).
• All Diving Trips are only one tank dives because all dive sites are only 5-10 min. by boat.
  
• For CENOTE Diving there is a minim of 2 divers required.
  
• For a guided SNORKEL Tour in Akumal Bay there are 2 people required.
  
• For NIGHT Dives a minimum of 3 Divers is required.

SPECIAL DIVING TOURS for Adventure Divers

WRECK DIVING IN PUERTO MORELOS  $150.00                 
Experience this incredible adventure of a spectacular ship wreck located in Puerto Morelos. The tour includes 2 dives, 1 wreck dive and 1 reef dive. Price includes transportation from Akumal – Puerto Morelos – Akumal. wreck diving.

DIVE WITH BULL SHARKS  (Please inquire for price)
Usually you find a dozen of big beefy bull sharks!  The bull sharks feeding takes place in 80 feet only a five minutes boat ride away from Playa Del Carmen's main beach. The record number of bull sharks seen in this area is 26! 

The bull sharks normally habit in this area from November to March but they seem every year a bit longer.

SCUBA Diving Courses (PADI)

BUBBLE MAKER $68.00                                  
The Bubble Maker Course is for kids that are under 10 years old (from 8 to 9 years). They will be diving with a SCUBA equipment in Akumal Bay.

RESORT COURSE $103.00                                     
With a Resort Course you learn the basic skills and discover SCUBA Diving. You will have a practice in the pool and an ocean dive in the nearby shallow Reef at 35 feet deep.
Minimum age is 10 years.

SCUBA DIVER COURSE $297.00          
The SCUBA Diver Course offers you to learn to dive in shallow waters to 40 feet deep. You will learn the basic skills about SCUBA diving instructed by a certified Dive Instructor. Then you will have a practice in the pool. The course includes 2 ocean dives in 2 days with a Diving instructor. You will receive a DIVE CARD which allows you to dive in shallow waters.

REFERRAL COURSE $300.00                                                          
With a referral course you will only do the diving practice with us. You will take the theory class in your country and then do the practice on your vacation. It includes 4 Ocean Dives in 2-3 days. Once complete you will receive your SCUBA Open Wate certification.

SCUBA OPEN WATER COURSE $450.00                                                 
The SCUBA Open Water Course offers you a complete introduction and instruction about Diving.  One of our certified instructors will teach you during 3 days which includes 4 Dives. This course requires that you buy the theory PADI book at $38.00. After passing the examen you will receive a license that allows you to dive 60 feet depth.

ADVANCED OPEN WATER DIVER $340.00                                             
With the Advanced Open Water Diver Course you increase your diving skills. The course includes 4 ocean dives and you will be able to do deeper dives to 100 feet maximum. It will also allow you to do Night Dives.

RESCUE DIVER COURSE $450.00  
The Rescue Diver Course takes you from 3-4 days to complete. You will learn to respond to and prevent emergencies under water and on the water surface. The Rescue Diver Course is also a must for all divers who are planning to do their Dive master. The course includes: exercises in pool and then confined in the open water, theory classes and license.

DIVE MASTER   $600.00 
During the PADI Dive master program, you will learn dive leadership skills through both classroom and independent study. You complete water skills and stamina exercises, as well as training exercises that stretch your ability to organize and solve problems as well as help others improve their scuba. With the Dive master certification you will also be able to work as a guide in any dive shop in the world.

Fishing Trips

Let our experienced captains lead you into Akumal’s best fishing waters. This area is considered as one of the premiere fishing locations to catch Mahi Mahi, Sail fish, Marlin, Bonito, Wahoo, Barracuda….just to name a few.(Includes soda and water)
